Banquet!

So this past Friday my school had the 8th grade banquet. My friends and I had a blast. It was oscar themed and when you arrived you got to walk up the red carpet and get your pic taken. Its started at 6 and went until 10, and of course my friends and I stayed until the very last minute. The food was amazing, especially since it was prepared at our school. Lizi and I got to make the slideshow for the banquet and we had a blast doing it (except when last minute the music didn't work so we spent the last two periods friday working on the music finishing it just in time, its like we said you always have to have at least a little drama when something important is coming up). While we were eating they passed out "Oscars" and I got one for "Most Outstanding in Subject Area," which was world history. The night was amazing and I can't wait until my next dance with my friends:)

So since I don't have any little kids to take pictures of and put the on here I'll show you guys my wonderful bookshelf. It is stuffed with many, many books. Also not all of my books are in the pic cause people are borrowing them and I am currently reading one. So here it is.... Oh and if you want the name of any of the books just ask me because there are way to many books for me to sit here and list them all.

Wow, so I haven't updated in a while so I'll just bring everyone up to date. Track has started again and the girls team won all-around at our first meet. woo! Each day of practice is pretty brutal, but I have a blast with all the people on the team. In yearbook we are finally finished!!! It was very exciting and we all felt very accomplished, and now we can't wait for the books to come in so we can look at our work. Also, I now have bangs which is kind of exciting. And of course I have found billions and billions of books to read. Well that basically it for now and later I will probably post pics of my meets.

Here are some pics of my friends and I waiting in line, we were second by the way, to see the movie Twilight. Also I'm doing this to show you all my new hair color. I can't decide which I like best, having blonde hair or being brunette. Well here are the pics, by the way the shirts that have Twilight on them were all homemade by each of us. And yes, my friend Molly had a cut out cardboard of Edward Cullen. We called him Edboard, he was the one thing that held our attention that night. Though he would be at random places sometimes and freak the crap out of me. Like one time I was looking down trying to get something and then I look up and he is standing halfway behind a door, it scared me half to death, I thought he was some kind of stalker for a second.

Since I have started school, August 7th by the way, I've been bombarded with work, so I haven't been able to update. So this year I started 8th grade(yay!) and its our first year in the new middle school in Helena. I have the best teachers ever. 1st: adv. alg. with Mrs. Bozeman, 2nd: adv. hist. Mr. Parker( who calls me Puff the Magic Dragon), 3rd: GT lit. Ms. Cleere, 4th: Eng. Mrs. Wade, 5th: Ms. Swann, 6th: lunch Ms. Cleere, 7th: P.E. Coach George, and finally 8th: yearbook Ms. Cleere. I have the best time in all of these classes, especially yearbook since I'm editor in chief!! We have the coolest projects in Parker's class(yet the scariest test, he gives you the option of going in the hall and crying if your a girl and if your a guy he said he'll just laugh at you). We just finished this one project where we got to mummify our stuffed animals, and later on in the year we get to make these huge shields out of cardboard and duct tape. Then there's Mrs. Bozeman (who's my best friends mom) and Ms. Swann who are the coolest teachers ever!! I think this year is going to be the best school year ever!

Back from Girls Camp!!

Hey everyone!! Girls camp this year was so much fun. We did way more than last year. My lits (leaders in training) were so awesome. We came up with like 50 chants for our group, everyone was getting kinda annoyed ( which is why we kept on ding them). On the first day we didn't do much, but we did find some lost dogs. One was a golden retriever , Buddy, and the other was a German Shepard, Sherman the German, Sherman for short. They were the sweetest dogs ever!!! I felt so bad for them cause they were covered in ticks and you could see their ribs through their fur. They stayed their all through camp and then i guess the humane society came and picked them up. Then on the second day we went on the ropes course and went down the huge zip line. we also went canoeing/swimming which was a lot of fun till we tipped over. That night me and a couple of friends slept in one of the pavilions with our lits. On the third day we went hiking which was okay. Then the best part was when we got to climb a rock wall 30 ft, and got to rappel 40 ft. It was so much fun to go rappelling. Then later that day we all got together and played "water survivor", which was a lot of fun, except we didn't win. But we won in the physical stuff not the mental. That night we had our testimony meeting and of course some of them made me cry. Oh yeah, before that we had ward time were we got to have a paintball shooting competition where we were "aiming for our values". That night we slept in a pavilion with our ward and had a blast. The next day we packed up all our stuff and headed home. But first we stopped at McDonald's and saw some other girls from camp there too. There is so much that happened I probably couldn't explain it all, but overall I would have to say this was the best year of girls camp. When I got home I went out with my family and came back fell asleep at 5 and woke up this morning at 8:30. Sorry to say but I don't have any pics cause I left my camera in my moms car.

Track Update!!

Ok, so i haven't updated for a while so I'll catch everyone up on what's going on in the Huff household. So track season started about at the end of February and it goes till the end of this month. I've done so well this season that i actually got to down to florida with the high school (and three other middle school girls). I had such a great time, i made an awesome new friend, Toni. we get to go to 2 more meets with the high school and depending our last couple meets and how we do in them we might even get to go to metro with them, which will be so much fun. I'm also glad cause i got my best times in my past meet last Tuesday. For my 100m i got 13.4 seconds and for my 200m i got 29.7 seconds. I'm so happy!!!
